CYC practice is done with people who resist verbal counselling and advice because they have lots of reasons to mistrust others. Communicating through the senses in real life moments allows CYC practitioners to connect where other attempts have failed. Jack Phelan has worked as a CYC practitioner since 1967 and has been teaching in the CYC program at Grant MacEwan University since 1983. Jack is a certified CYC in both Alberta and New York, has been involved with CYC Associations for many years and is a speaker at conferences and workshops all over the world.
